KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains cleanliness through hourly monitoring of site by walking internally and externally, though painting, drywall repairs, tile repairs, lamp replacement in order to maintain corporate image and provide a clean and safe environment for tenants and customers
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance to the property, externally and internally
  • Inspects the parking lot and roof for damage and performs or arranges repairs
  • Ensures signage and lighting is in good working order
  • Cleans waste management area including compacting waste, and maintains shop and capital equipment inventory, requesting replacement inventory as required
  • Ensures service requests as they pertain to Cadillac Fairview's maintenance software programs, are completed and closed in a timely manner in accordance to Cadillac Fairview's measurable standards
  • Secures CF property against loss due to theft, fire, liability claims and prosecutions resulting from operations by ensuring all health, safety and security procedures are adhered to and areas of concern are reported to the appropriate parties in a timely manner in order to limit exposure to liability and loss.
  • Tests fire equipment on a monthly basis by checking valves and bells for proper operation in order to meet legislative requirements and ensure tenant and customer safety
  • Sets up all marketing events by assembling staging and lighting, signage and other related material to assist the Marketing Department in providing an attractive shopping environment
  • Conducts inspections on equipment on daily/weekly basis and completes appropriate record logs in order to ensure equipment is maintained in good working order to avoid major repairs due to negligence
  • Responds to tenants and building concerns regarding maintenance issues by solving problems or making recommendations as required in order to reduce repair costs for CF and ensure a high level of customer service to tenants and customers.
  • Keep supervisor well informed of problems, task progress and concerns.
